FNTI, Inc. Announces its Largest Conversion Project to Date

FNTI converts over 160 million images from
microfilm to Digital Image in 40 days

»» MILPITAS, California — FNTI, Inc. announced that it has signed a significant, time-sensitive document conversion deal with a large international company to convert over 160 million images from 16mm microfilm to digital image within 40 days. Not only is this FNTI's largest conversion project to date, this is one of the largest conversion projects ever to be completed in such a limited amount of time.

In order to immediately respond to a project of this proportion, FNTI was able to acquire all of the necessary equipment and increase its production staff on short notice to accommodate a 24/7, 4-shift conversion schedule.

The project is being completed in conjunction with FNTI’s business partner AmCad at FNTI's main production facility in Milpitas, CA. The 10,000 square foot production facility met all the client's physical, technical and security requirements, enabling FNTI to begin the conversion process within 48 hours of signing the contract.

In less than 24 hours, FNTI was able to deploy 12 high speed Wicks and Wilson^* RS-300 microfilm scanners. Wicks and Wilson is the industry leader in high volume production film scanning solutions and is now enabling FNTI to scan and convert over 5 million images per day, assuring excellent image quality across a variety of different film.

While this is FNTI's largest conversion project, it is scheduled for an on-time and successful completion.

UPDATE
MILPITAS, California — FNTI has successfully completed the aforementioned conversion project with a final image count of 280 million images converted in less than 75 days. The project was extended and completed within the contractual timetable set by FNTI and the client.
